Skiing in Tignes is looking great for this coming holiday period. Thanks to the recent cold spell, the pistes have remained in excellent condition and the forecast of fresh snow this Friday is the perfect Christmas present for off-piste fanatics visiting Tignes next week.
Despite several thousand students having visited Tignes these past few weeks, the resort has had a certain calm about it. Whether it be the result economic crisis, or just early season, there seems to be plenty good deals on ski holidays circulating on Twitter and the internet in general.
If you are thinking of grabbing a last minute bargain, then choose Tignes- we have the most snow at the moment. The lower altitude resorts missed out on the early-December snowfall, and until more snow comes, the choice is clear. If you don’t believe me, check out this clip of yours truly filmed 11 days by Ania on a camera phone, just 5 minutes walk from the Grattalu chairlift.
With my favorite weather site, snow-forecast.com, predicting further snow on Sunday and Monday, the chances of skiing some of Tignes’ classic off-piste itinerary routes looks good.
