Another perfect day for off-piste in Tignes, and a perfect bunch of powder-hungry recruits to match. Today I took the pleasure of guiding a group from the Ski Club of Great Britain to fresh snow in and around Les Boisses and Les Breviers, including a morning visit to the Glattier where we were still able to pick out some fresh tracks as we made our way into the trees in search of better visibility. An unexpected delight was the relatively few skiers who had beat us to the Vallon de la Sache by the afternoon.
Cold temperatures for great snow and fewer visitors in the month of January make this an excellent time to be skiing in Tignes.
Here’s some action footage of a steeper pitch we hit in the afternoon. Two more clips can be found on my youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/roriescott
